Vascular Technologist
JOB SUMMARY
Vascular Technologist performs non-invasive vascular ultrasound and blood pressure studies.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Comply and adhere to the department’s in-service vascular training schedules and programs in acquiring knowledge and skills to perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound and non-invasive vascular studies for diagnostic of peripheral vascular disease and other vascular abnormalities.
· Generate written and diagram reports on the findings acquired.
· Ensure that the vascular works are carried out properly as stated in the protocols for ultrasound and other non-invasive procedures.
· Complete all training assignments as scheduled by the senior vascular technologist.
· Perform non-invasive vascular testing under supervision by vascular/senior vascular technologist and vascular doctors.
· Provide education and counselling service to patients.
· Responsible for all duties delegated by the senior vascular technologist.
· Assist and cooperate with seniors to ensure the operational needs, planning, projection and administration of the department are properly carried out.
· Provide support and assistance in research studies conducted in the department.
· Ensure smooth and efficient daily operation of the department.
· Assist to ensure every vascular diagnostic equipment are properly maintained and at its functional state.
· Be an integral part of a team approach to the diagnosis and management of arterial and venous disease.
· Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department
JOB REQUIREMENT
· Degree or Diploma in Healthcare related field
· Registered nurse preferred
· 2-3 year Nursing experiences.
· Candidates with relevant work experience in ultrasound/vascular ultrasound would be an added advantage.
· Possess a positive, a can-do and proactive working attitude, with initiative and flexibility.
· Self-driven individual willing to learn a new skill.
· Meticulous, with good organization skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage and prioritise your time for scans and reports.
