Therapy Asst
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Therapy Assistant (TA) assists therapists in the supervision of patients and treatment implementation.
The job functions and responsibilities are described below.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC (90%)
Clinical Duties
1. Perform duties according to clinical competencies (Refer to Appendix 1 & 2).
2. Adhere to all safety measures and infection control procedures involving patients, staff, and the
environment.
3. Set up equipment and areas for patients during therapy
4. Provide transportation of ward patients when required
5. Implement treatment as prescribed by therapists, provide supervision to patients during therapy
sessions and provide timely reports to therapists
Equipment & Inventory Management
1. Check and update inventory stocks and logistics records
2. Clean and maintain therapy equipment and devices
3. Check for equipment faults and report to relevant departments for assessment and repair
4. Ensure tidiness and operational readiness of gyms via routine checks
Administrative Duties
1. Record daily personal work statistics
2. Replenish clinical forms
(B) GENERAL (10%)
1. Adhere to all policies and procedures of the department in daily work conduct.
2. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with patients, the public and colleagues.
3. Provide coverage of duties in the absence of other therapy assistants
4. Carry out any other supportive duties as assigned by management or supervisors.
5. Embrace continuous improvements as our way of life by improving and refining work performance
on a daily basis.
