Temporary Transcriber
Job Description:
We are seeking meticulous and reliable individuals to join our team as Transcribers on a contract-for-service basis. You will be responsible for converting pre-recorded interview audio files into accurate and complete written transcripts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Listen to pre-recorded interviews and transcribe them verbatim using stipulated transcription software, headset, and foot pedal.
- Ensure high transcription accuracy with a typical turnaround of 1–2 working days per interview.
- Proofread and review transcripts to:
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of transcription.
- Redact any confidential or sensitive information as needed.
- Respond promptly to queries or clarifications raised by research analysts.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information contained within the recordings.
Work Arrangement:
Transcription work is typically performed on-site at the research office or study site at Admiralty Medical Centre.
Commitment Requirements:
- This is a contract-for-service role. You will be contacted when there are interviews available for transcription.
- Each interview transcription must be completed within three (3) working days, and no later than one week from the interview date.
Minimum Qualifications:
- GCE A-Level or Diploma/Advanced Diploma
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word)
- Background knowledge in healthcare is an added advantage
- Prior transcription experience is helpful but not required
