Temp Patient Service Associate, Medical Social Work (5 months contract)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure service readiness of the department and maintain a clean, safe environment in the clinic at all times.
Assist with case triaging, patient registration, appointment scheduling, and issuance of welfare financial aid.
Safeguard the department’s cash float and counter collections for financially needy patients.
Reconcile daily transactions, prepare claims and statistics reports for the department, social service offices or relevant organizations.
Provide patient care services, including attending to patient needs and assisting with movement between departments.
Respond to patient enquiries and provide accurate information.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Address patient feedback or complaints and escalate appropriately.
Ensure Allied Health service standards are consistently met.
Support Medical Social Workers/Social Work Assistants with translation during consultations or tele-contact.
Manage mobility equipment loans, ensuring proper maintenance and liaising with vendors when necessary.
Manage inventory of department brochures, forms, clinic stationery & pantry supplies.

General Duties

Assist Medical Social Workers/Chief of Department in supervising, guiding, and teaching new staff.
Participate in initiatives to improve care quality and work processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer /Chief of Department.

Requirements

Minimum GCE O/N Level.
Patient-oriented, willing to go the extra mile to enhance patient experience.
Driven, adaptable, and eager to learn.
Strong team player with the ability to build relationships across departments and institutions.
Experience in frontline customer service preferred.
