Position: Temporary Assistant (Part-Time, 1 Year Contract)

Job Description:

Temporary Assistant plays a crucial role as you will be providing support to ensure the smooth operations of the Psychology department. You will assist clinical psychologists within the Department of Psychology in carrying out research projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct literature reviews and prepare measures and/or interview questions
  2. Prepare and submit study amendments, study status reports and other necessary documents to relevant research review committees and/or funding agencies, and liaise with them as the study administrator
  3. Recruit participants including contacting potential participants and obtaining consent
  4. Collect data by scheduling and conducting interviews and administering questionnaires
  5. Transcribe interviews and score questionnaires
  6. Enter and analyse data
  7. Manage study database, safeguarding the confidentiality of participants
  8. Attend project meetings and take meeting notes
  9. Attend training as required
  10. Administrative duties such as maintaining research-related documents, ensuring all logistics and acquiring necessary supplies, providing administrative support for volunteers, and making claims and reimbursements
  11. Any other duties assigned by supervisors

 

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Good interpersonal skills and team player with the ability to work independently

 

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. Graduates (Bachelor of Psychology); Honours Graduates preferred
  2. Academic and/or work experience in psychology research
  3. Experience with conducting research interviews and/or managing research database will an advantage
