Technical Officer
Job Summary: Maintain, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment and distribution systems to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute engineering maintenance programmes for M&E services and non-clinical equipment
- Supervise contractor preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Commission new facilities and equipment
- Evaluate departmental proposals for equipment condemnation or improvement works
- Maintain computerised maintenance and breakdown records
- Update technical drawings and manuals following improvement works
- Manage workshop facilities, tools and test equipment
- Operate Facilities Control Centre helpdesk and store when required
- Identify and initiate spare parts procurement
- Inspect, test, service and troubleshoot all facilities and equipment to maximise availability
- Maintain building facilities and equipment to uphold hospital standards
- Support Engineers and Technical Officers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Reporting Structure: Reports to Senior/Engineers and Technical Officers, Facilities Engineering
Requirements:
- Education: ITC or NTC qualification preferred; broad M&E services knowledge advantageous
- Experience: ITC + 5 years in similar role, or NTC + 8 years in similar capacity
