Job Description:

You will support the Assistant Director, Clinical & Health Informatics Office (CHIO) in driving the implementation of the hospital’s informatics and data strategic roadmap. This role focuses on governance, strategic delivery, and stakeholder engagement, leveraging health informatics and data to enable safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care, in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.

 

The Clinical & Health Informatics Office (CHIO) supports the Chairman, Medical Board (CMB), Assistant CMBs, Chief Clinical Informatics Officer (CCIO), Assistant CCIOs (ACCIOs), and Director, CHIO in the strategic planning, governance, and operationalisation of informatics and data initiatives. This includes the development, governance, and optimisation of clinical information systems and informatics-enabled workflows that facilitate optimal care delivery across the hospital.

 

The Challenges
You will be responsible for the following:

  • Plan, guide, and oversee change management, communications, and organisational readiness for hospital-wide EMR and clinical system enhancements, ensuring effective adoption across clinical and operational domains.
  • Manage and curate CHIO’s content, knowledge assets, and digital collaboration platforms (e.g. SharePoint Online), ensuring strong governance, relevance, accuracy, and a coherent informatics identity.
  • Support the operationalisation of informatics policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks that guide the development, implementation, and optimisation of clinical and health IT systems, including the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Contribute as a member of the CHIO leadership team, demonstrating strategic thinking, aligning assigned portfolios to the department’s informatics and data roadmap, and upholding CHIO leadership and governance standards.
  • Work in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders including Synapxe, TTSH departments, NHG stakeholders, and other public healthcare institutions to translate business and clinical requirements into feasible informatics and system solutions.
  • Support departmental planning, reporting, and governance activities, including committees, working groups, and cross-institutional initiatives, as assigned.
    Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director, CHIO.

 

Requirements

  • A tertiary degree from a recognised university.
  • Preferably 5–8 years of relevant working experience, with 3–5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally in a healthcare or health informatics environment.
  • Prior experience in clinical informatics, health IT, or healthcare operations will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and people management skills, with the ability to lead teams through change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with sound analytical abilities to manage complex issues, synthesise information, and produce clear, accurate outputs.
  • Demonstrated experience in data strategy development and operationalisation will be an advantage.
  • Experience in policy writing, governance, and EMR-related frameworks is an advantage.
  • Health informatics certification, NGEMR certification, and/or project management certification (e.g. PMP) will be considered a plus.
