Senior/ Executive (Housekeeping), Environmental Services

Broad Function

Support WH Environmental Services (ES) department to manage various outsourced services which includes housekeeping, waste management, linen & laundry, uniform store, pest control and landscaping.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

 

Specific

 

Candidate will be supporting the managers to manage linen & laundry and uniform store operations under ES.

  1. Manage Linen Store and Uniform Store operations with outsource service partner
  2. Support procurement activities eg, service contracts (RFP/ITQ), adhoc and yearly procurement of new linens and curtains
  3. Monitor and review the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the various outsourced services under Environmental Services
  4. Working with services providers for service improvements
  5. Investigate promptly on the feedback received from staffs, patients or visitors and implement corrective actions and preventive measures
  6. Prepare presentations and proposals eg, linen usage trends, laundry cost  
  7. Perform audit checks to ensure that the services are satisfactorily carried out and to ensure compliance to safety and infection control standards
  8. Conduct Linen audits and stock count to maintain adequate linen/uniform stock levels ensuring a continuous supply for WH.
  9. Manage Environmental services related procedures, records, documentation to ensure compliance to audits and for easy retrieval and referencing.    
  10. Any other duties assigned from time to time.

 

General

  1. Support managers to cross cover other outsourced services when needed
  2. Support ad-hoc corporate activities and functions, when required

 

 

Job Requirement

 

Education / Training / Experience

 

Qualification:

  • General degree / diploma
  • Diplomas with relevant past experiences may be considered.
  • Other education level with extensive past experience and practical knowledge maybe considered.   

 

Professional Experience:

  • ES experience, especially in acute healthcare setting, is preferred.
  • Executive position will require minimum 0 to 3 years of related work experience, preferably in acute health care or similar setting.
  • Senior Executive position will require minimum 4 years of related work experience, preferably in acute health care or similar setting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Good problem solving skills and with systems thinking.
  • Possess positive attitude and keenness to learn.
  • Demonstrate good writing and presentation skills. 
  • Meticulous and proficient with data tabulation, statistics and analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.

 

Others

  • Able to work in office and healthcare setting
  • Working hours, 8,30am to 6pm (Mon to Thu),8.30am to 5,30pm (Fri)
  • Able to report back to office after hours in event of emergency activation
