Sr Financial Analyst (Sr Executive)

Job Purpose

 

To assist the Deputy Director, Finance in the following:

 

  1. Financial modelling of the Group’s selected strategic initiatives and provide support to various cross-functional stakeholders within NHG;  

 

  1. Develop and implement a population-based funding model (including determination of funding principles, methodologies and rates) to support population health activities/ programmes;

 

  1. Review population health funding requests as well as new population health and/ or primary care patient payment proposals;

 

  1. Review adequacy of funding for national population health schemes and provide Finance operational support for the implementation of some of these schemes;

 

  1. Consolidate, monitor and report overall population health funding utilisation as well as related financials of various population health initiatives/ programmes;

 

  1. Work with various Finance stakeholders to prepare for the implementation of        new Financial accounting system, including harmonisation of financial operating processes; and

 

  1. Handle any other work in relation to population health financing and other financial related matters as and when assigned.

 

 

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. FINANCIAL MODELLING/ SIMULATION

 

  1. Work with internal stakeholders for data harmonisation, collection and analysis

 

  1. Assist with financial simulation and reporting

 

 

  1. POPULATION HEALTH FUNDING/ PAYMENT MODELS, utilisation and performance

 

  1. Assist with development of new funding model

 

  1. Assist with the review of funding adequacy, requests and patient payment proposals

 

  1. Consolidate, monitor and report funding utilisation and financial performance

 

  1. Assist with the implementation of selected national population health schemes

 

 

  1. NEW FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM IMPLMENTATION

 

  1. Assist with cluster level coordination activities and collation of inputs from stakeholders

 

  1. Work with stakeholders to harmonise financial operating processes within stipulated timeline

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Education/Training/Experience

 

  • A recognised degree in Accountancy/ Finance or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Proficient in financial modelling/ simulation.  
  • Proficient in business analytics including use and interpretation of basic statistical methods and reports.  
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Relevant working experience in healthcare would be a bonus.
