Job Description:
The Senior Executive, Corporate Development supports the strategic management functions of the Corporate Development to drive the hospital strategy at IMH. This role is instrumental in advancing strategic planning, master plan oversight, and high-level secretariat support, while facilitating effective communication with government agencies. The Senior Executive will work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, to support initiatives that align with IMH’s mission and long-term objectives. The role demands a proactive and collaborative individual who can engage stakeholders, manage documentation, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. This position will report to the Assistant Director, Corporate Development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Provide operational and secretariat support for the biennial Strategic Planning Cycle led by the Executive Committee (EXCO), including strategy cascading and retreat facilitation
- Ensure effective management and coordination of partnerships at the policy level, fostering collaboration and alignment with organisational goals
Master Plans Oversight
- Support the development and implementation of IMH’s long-term strategic plans, ensuring alignment with organisational goals through EXCO oversight
- Draft the Master Plans with various key teams
Secretariat Support
- Deliver secretariat support for key management platforms such as the NHG Mental Health Board Committee, EXCO, and Senior Management Meetings (SMM), ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up on decisions and actions
Proposal Development
- Assist departments in preparing funding proposals for external grant calls and support the formation of new offices and strategic initiatives
Correspondence with Government Agencies
- Serve as the liaison for communications with Ministries and Statutory Boards, including Parliamentary Questions, Committee of Supply inquiries, and Ministry Queries. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure responses are accurate, coherent, and timely
Risk Management
- Facilitate the identification, assessment, and mitigation of clinical and non-clinical risks across IMH
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate risk considerations into strategic planning and decision-making
Requirements:
Competency
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with document management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Educational and Professional Requirements
- A recognised degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Management, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate development, strategic planning, governance or in healthcare preferred
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills in paper writing and minutes taking for Senior Management meetings
