Job Description:
As a Senior Executive, you will oversee the supervision of the kitchen staff, while taking overall responsibility for the smooth day to day kitchen operations in line with Dietetics & Catering Services’ policies and regulatory requirements. You are accountable for maintaining daily service standards, food quality, and documentation to meet hospital’s audit and external regulatory expectations (e.g. SFA, workplace safety).
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day administration and smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Liaise with vendors and contractors for general repairs, preventive and periodic maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
- Ensure all contractors and service providers comply with agreed terms and performance indicators as stipulated in contracts.
- Supervise and monitor the work of departmental personnel and contractors to ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies, standard operating procedures and infection control requirements.
- Plan, implement and review the process to ensure timely preparation and accurate serving of meals.
- Ensure all kitchen staff consistently follow food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with SFA regulations.
- Assist the Reporting Officer in monitoring, analyzing, and controlling expenditure within the allocated budget.
- Review, update and implement departmental documents such as SOPs, work instructions, risk assessments, checklists, and training records to support audits.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documents and follow up on the corrective and preventive action.
- Attend to ward and patient feedback on meals, investigate and follow up with corrective actions and work with relevant stakeholders to improve patient satisfaction and service quality.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.

Educational and Professional Requirements
- Degree in food service or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in food service or hospital kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g. SFA/HACCP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work on weekends when required.
