Sr Executive, Academic Health Excellence Administrator
The successful candidate plays a key supporting role in operationalising the TTSH’s Academic Health Excellence (AHE) agenda. The incumbent will manage hospital-level research engagement efforts such as the Research Conference Sponsorship (RCS) scheme, research literacy programmes, and tracking performance metrics related to research excellence. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the role also supports future institutionally mandated initiatives aligned with AHE’s strategic priorities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC (80%)
A. Support Strategic and Future AHE Initiatives
- Work closely with the Manager to scope, plan, and implement new institutionally driven AHE initiatives over the next few years (e.g., new evaluation metrics, national assessments) and support continuous refinement of ongoing initiatives.
- Draft and prepare approval papers / proposals to support the development and execution of AHE-related initiatives, including justifications for funding, resource allocation, or programme design. This includes working closely with internal stakeholders to gather input, align with institutional priorities, and present clear, outcome-driven recommendations for senior management’s consideration.
- Participate in design thinking, stakeholder engagement, and implementation planning for new programmes.
- Track progress, surface operational issues, look into other administration duties (related to Finance and HR matters) that arises indirectly from research activities.
B. Overseas travel related to internal and external sponsorships
- Oversee and administer the Research Conference Sponsorship (RCS) process (TTSH internal sponsorship), from application verification, document completeness checks, financial compliance checks, handling of queries (pre and post trip), and funding eligibility checks.
- Ensure adherence to institutional guidelines and coordinate review or updates to policy frameworks and working instructions.
- Act as the first point of contact for applicants, providing clear guidance on submission requirements, fund limits, and documentation standards.
- Compile sponsorship utilisation reports and identify trends or gaps for process improvement.
- Provide guidance and administrative support to overseas travel related to research activities (via external sponsorship from funding agencies, etc)
C. Coordinate Academic Health KPI Reporting
- Support the Manager in analysing, synthesising, and visualising research performance data to inform reporting, strategy, and future resource planning.
- Maintain an accurate and auditable record of research metrics to support funding justifications and internal reviews.
GENERAL (20%)
- Assist in the planning and execution of CRIO-led institutional initiatives, such as TTSH Academic Health Day and internal research showcases.
- Support process improvement, policy review, and research enablement efforts led by CRIO.
- Participate in relevant hospital committees or working groups to champion implementation enablers and research integration.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Head of department to support CRIO’s strategic priorities and overall research ecosystem development.
