Sr/ Consultant (Anaesthesiology)

The Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine is looking for passionate anaesthesiologists with the relevant experience to join us. The department is one of the largest anaesthesia departments in the Singapore serving a catchment population of over 1 million. We provide anaesthesia for neurosurgery, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, urology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology as well as endoscopy and radiology. We also provide clinical care to critically ill patients in the surgical and neurosurgical intensive care units. We are recognized as a leading institution in neuroanaesthesia, neurocritical care, surgical Intensive care as well as regional anaesthesia.

The Specialist will be responsible for providing anaesthesia care to patients in the perioperative period. In addition, you are expected to provide pre-operative evaluation, preparation & counselling to patients in the Pre-admission Assessment, Counselling & Evaluation (PACE) Clinic and management of acute pain after surgery. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in clinical research as well as teaching of medical students, junior and senior residents during the course of the work in the department.

Requirements

Candidate must possess a recognised basic medical qualification and postgraduate qualification such as MMed, FANZCA, FRCA, FCAI and American Board of Anaesthesiology certificate which is registrable with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and also have completed a recognised advanced specialist training programme acceptable for accreditation as a Specialist Anaesthetist with the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) and Ministry of Health (MOH).
