Sr Asst Manager
TTSH is seeking an experienced and motivated Research Contracts Manager to join our Clinical Research & Innovation Office (CRIO). This is a key role supporting the growth of high-quality clinical and translational research across the hospital. You will work closely with clinicians, researchers, external sponsors, and partner institutions to ensure that research contracts are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with legal, regulatory, and National Healthcare Group (NHG) requirements.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC
A. Contract Negotiation & Management
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of research agreements including:
- Sponsored research agreements
- Collaboration agreements
- Confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements
- Material transfer agreements
- Data sharing/data use agreements
- Clinical Trial agreements (if applicable)
- Research service level agreement
- Management contract lifecycle from initial request through execution and amendments
- Ensure agreements align with organizational policies, legal requirements, intellectual property (IP) frameworks and funding conditions
- Identify, mitigate, and communicate contractual risks
B. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, funder policies, and ethical standards (e.g. PDPA, research integrity requirements)
- Coordinate with legal counsel on complex or high-risk contract terms
- Monitor compliance with contract obligations and timelines
C. Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding research contact matters
- Provide guidance to researchers and project teams on contract processes, policies and best practices
- Collaborate with research administration, finance, legal and technology transfer/ Intellectual Property offices to support effective research operations
D. Process Improvement & Administration
- Maintain accurate contract records, databases, and tracking systems
- Contribute to the development of contract templates, tools and workflows
- Provide training or informational sessions to staff and researchers on contract-related topics
- Support strategic initiatives to enhance contract efficiency and reduce negotiation timelines
GENERAL
- Plan and implement quality improvement activities for research in TTSH. This includes ensuring regulatory and protocol compliance.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Head of department.
- Constantly evaluate and make continuous improvement to own work processes.
- Actively participate as a member for quality improvement projects of Hospital-wide / Departmental level.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred Degree or Masters in research administration or related field
- Familiarity with clinical research agreements, technology transfer or commercialization processes
- Experience with contract management system
