Our Grants & Innovation Office (GIO) plays a pivotal role in empowering healthcare transformation by funding, coordinating, and scaling high-impact innovations across institutions. We drive strategic alignment between innovation efforts and national healthcare priorities, ensuring value, sustainability, and improved health outcomes for the population we serve.
The Opportunities
In this role, you will be instrumental in administering health innovation funding schemes, managing grant operations, and supporting the design and implementation of programmes that foster a strong culture of innovation. You will work closely with stakeholders across the public healthcare system (e.g. MOH, Healthcare Clusters, Industry Collaborators, Funder etc) to align innovation initiatives with strategic funding goals and national priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Grants & Programme Administration
- Provide operational support and end-to-end administration of the MOH Health Innovation (MHI) Coordinating Party (CP) Scheme and other innovation funding initiatives under CHI.
- Coordinate grant lifecycle processes, including proposal evaluation, budgeting, milestone tracking, and impact reporting.
- Ensure adherence to funding governance frameworks, audit readiness, and compliance with MOH and institutional policies.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Support
- Support strategic committees and governance bodies in reviewing, evaluating, and guiding innovation projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, healthcare clusters, industry partners, and public sector agencies.
- Represent CHI at grant-related forums, workshops, and co-learning events to advocate for innovation and funding best practices.
- Strategic Support for Innovation Ecosystem Development
- Work with CHI’s leadership to align funding initiatives with key innovation thrusts such as workforce transformation, new models of care, and value-based outcomes.
- Contribute to the design of capability-building programmes and teaching tools that support knowledge translation and innovation diffusion.
- Monitor innovation trends and support thought leadership efforts to keep Singapore’s healthcare system future-ready.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Public Health or related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in grants management, programme administration, or public sector funding.
- Familiarity with healthcare innovation or hospital operations is highly preferred.
- Experience with regulatory and ethics review processes, or knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in tools like SPSS, STATA or Excel for data analysis and reporting will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and multitasking abilities with attention to detail and deadlines.
