Senior/Executive, Clinical Operations (Medicine) (Contract till 30 Apr 2025)
Broad Function
a. Support Clinical Departments within the Division of Medicine with development of services and processes to ensure safe and efficient care for the patients
b. Work with Facility Operations team to drive the following areas, namely,
- Clinical and Non-Clinical Workflows
- Operation Readiness and Set-Up for New Services
- Support for Services under Division of Medicine
- Procurement
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Specific
Main Work Streams
1. Clinical and Non-Clinical Workflows
Support the development and implementation of Division of Medicine clinical services, programs and care paths with clinicians and partners. These include:
- Model of care development and review
- Planning and innovating clinical operations to implement new care models
- Infrastructure, manpower, analytics, technology and other requirements needed to implement or revise the care model
2. Operation Readiness and Set-Up for New Services
- Work closely with multiple clinical and non-clinical stakeholders for the set up of new services. This includes, but not limited to, assisting in obtaining approvals for the service, supporting the development of workflows to ensure seamless patient journey, drafting the required work instructions to document the workflow, determining the equipment and set up requirements and developing the cost structure for the service.
- Review, develop and conduct Table-Top Exercises and drills in line with workflows developed for staff familiarisation before the start of the service.
3. Support for Services under Division of Medicine
- Extract and monitor indicators for submission to MOH and intra department review.
- Development of improvement projects with doctors and nurses.
- Support discussions and reviews to improve service delivery by recording meeting minutes and ensure timely closure of follow ups.
- Liaise with clinical heads of departments and/or appointed clinical leads to collate information requests from other departments.
4. Procurement
- Administrative and secretariat support for purchase related activities for medical and non-medical equipment including hospital wide standardisation of equipment, integration between equipment and workflows, as well as management of funds.
- Writing of proposal papers to facilitate approval of various stages such as pre-sourcing, evaluation and award.
- Management of timelines to ensure timely follow-up and closure of key action items.
General
- Where directed by Reporting Officer, and/or Director, Medicine, to support in other Woodlands Health-related projects and tasks.
Job Requirement
Education / Training / Experience
- University Degree
- At least 2 years of related experience in a similar capacity, preferably in an operations or service background for Executive.
- At least 3 - 4 years of related experience in a similar capacity, preferably in an operations or service background for Senior Executive.
- Healthcare experience is a bonus
