Job Summary
Provides infection prevention and control (IPC) support and guidance to healthcare facilities, focusing on implementing IPC protocols, conducting surveillance, and supporting outbreak management under supervision.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Management Skill
- Conducts routine IPC surveillance and audits
- Assists in implementing IPC protocols and guidelines
- Compiles and analyse infection control data
- Participates in outbreak investigations under supervision
- Conducts basic risk assessments of infection control practices
- Supports implementation of IPC training programmes
Professional Development
- Maintains current knowledge of infection control practices
- Participates in continuing education and professional development
- Attends relevant IPC courses and workshops
- Contributes to department's quality improvement initiatives
Clinical Leadership
- Provides basic IPC guidance
- Assists in developing educational materials
- Supports implementation of IPC policies and procedures
- Participates in IPC-related projects
General
- Maintains effective communication with stakeholders
- Documents activities and findings accurately
- Supports emergency preparedness activities
- Participates in team meetings and discussions
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license with Singapore Nursing Board
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Basic IPC certification or willing to obtain within 1 year
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of basic statistical analysis
