Senior Staff Nurse, Office of Clinical Governance, Population Health Office
The Senior Staff Nurse (SSN) of the Population Health Office’s Office of Clinical Governance (POP OCG) will support the Senior Manager in the development and operationalization of PHC’s Total Workplace and Health (T-WSH) framework. This includes staffing the PHC T-WSH Committee in the strategy formation and overseeing the operationalization of infection control in areas of patient care, and the T-WSH needs of PHC staff and community partners. This role requires strong collaborations with PHC’s Human Resource, NHGP Infection Control team, NHGP’s Preventive and Control of Infection Committee (PCIC) and ground teams (i.e. Community Health Teams). Good analytical, engagement and project management skills are necessary to support PHC’s workforce to meet the evolving needs of PHC.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the formulation and operationalization of Population Health Campus’s T-WSH framework (including policy formation in infection control and occupational health).
- Support the operationalization and tracking of Population Health Campus’s vaccination and mask fitting rates, ensuring compliance with MOH’s regulatory standards and organizational objectives.
- Lead in the conducting of infection control and occupational health risk assessments, audits and root cause analysis (RCA) of infection control and occupational health incidents within PHC (excluding NHGP).
- Support the formation of infection control frameworks for community-based activities/partners (when requested).
- Where required, perform secretariat duties for Population Health Board T-WSH Sub-Committee and other Population Health Campus related meetings.
- Foster collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders, including HR, NHGP and across PHC, to ensure safe care to patients, and enable PHC healthcare professionals to work safely.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate PHC staff needs for vaccination (as required)
- Assist in pre-employment check-up and health screening for new and existing employees in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and any other governmental legislations and guidelines.
- Monitor and ensure completion of any incidents submitted via PRISM and identify cases which require further management and follow up.
Job Requirements
- A Degree in Nursing.
- Having a valid Certification in Infection Prevention and Control by Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in Infection Control or Occupational Health and Safety and health education counselling would be advantageous.
- Registration Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Must possess strong administrative and project coordination skills.
- Strong written, analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
