Senior / Patient Service Associate (Operating Theatre)

While the campus is under construction, you may be deployed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). However, you will be working in the new Woodlands Health Campus once it is operational (estimated 2023).

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform required entries in computer systems such as SAP, EMR. Data entry for patient registration, admission, transfer and discharge.
  • Perform payment and financial counselling duties for surgical procedures and services.
  • Provide support for OT/Endo listing and services
  • Print elective listing for Nursing Teams to confirm elective list
  • Contact patients on day before procedure to reinforce time to come to Centre for admission and fast instructions accordingly.
  • Prioritise and organise patient timings for registration according to the listing.
  • Perform booking of outpatient appointment for patients and booking of inpatient beds for patient requiring admission.
  • Use the respective Electronic Medical Records system to trace the necessary patient records
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers for receipt and invoices of supplies.
  • Order, and maintain dry rations and other supplies for patients and NOK.
  • Provide general administrative support to the department
  • Handle incoming and out-going mails, attend to queries from internal and external parties pertaining to the theatre facilities and services.
  • Order, maintain and arrange stationaries and other supplies for departmental use.
  • Provide support for pantry and catering supplies and locker management.
  • Collaborates and co-operate with other departments and health-care personnel in smooth delivery of patient care and services.


Requirements

  • Possess at least a GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Levels, Professional Certificate/NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma
  • Possess the ability to speak two or more languages / dialects will be an advantage (to liaise with dialect speaking patients)
  • IT literacy and numeracy including conversational, writing making electronic entries e.g. Record information on forms, charts and checklists
  • Possess experience in frontline customer service preferred (Preferably with some months working experience in health care industry)
  • Possess the ability to work 2 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
