Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Woodlands Health Fund Office
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Senior Manager/Assistant Director to lead our fundraising initiatives at Woodlands Health Fund (WHF). This role is essential in planning and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that drives stakeholder engagement, donor management, program development, communication, and operational compliance with WHF governance and regulatory standards.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Program Development
- Align WHF's fundraising strategy with our mission and priorities, focusing on improving access to care, empowering patients, and fostering research, innovation, and education for sustainable health service development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop impactful programs that can be funded through WHF, ensuring clear ownership and a robust implementation plan, along with effective monitoring and evaluation.
- Establish strategic partnerships with charities, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic networks to share best practices and enhance collaborative fundraising efforts.
2. Fundraising and Donor Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, and community campaigns to achieve set fundraising goals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with high-value donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners for sustained funding opportunities.
- Oversee donor stewardship effort to ensure meaningful engagement, recognition, and impact reporting.
- Drive the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives, including campaigns, annual appeals, and special events, while leveraging both internal and external resources for optimal results.
- Identify opportunities to integrate fundraising efforts with healthcare delivery and vibrant campus initiatives, enhancing visibility and outreach.
3. Leadership and Governance
- Provide overall leadership for fundraising and communication efforts, collaborating closely with the Corporate Communication and Vibrant Campus teams.
- Establish and maintain relevant policies and procedures to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective risk management in all fundraising activities.
- Ensure full compliance with WHF policies, Charities Act, Code of Governance for Charities and Institution of a Public Characters (IPCs) and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support liaising with regulators, auditors, and the WHF Board of Directors regarding governance matters.
4.General Responsibilities
- Contribute as a member of the secretariat team to support the WHF Board.
- Serve as the lead secretariat for WHF Fundraising Sub-Committee.
- Represent WHF in external engagements.
Job Requirements:
- A recognized University Degree.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising, or philanthropy, with a proven track record of achieving fundraising targets.
- Extensive knowledge of Singapore's charitable landscape, including government regulations and best practices in governance and compliance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and establish relationships with high-net-worth donors and corporate sponsors.
- Strong project management capabilities, combined with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and positive work attitude with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team, while remaining organized and meticulous.
