JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Manager, People & Organisation Development (People Development) supports the Chief P&OD and Deputy/Assistant Director in implementing WH's learning strategy to enable WH to be a Learning Health System through innovative learning solutions, building a self-directed learning culture, and driving capability development of WH staff through strategic learning consultancy and evidence-based interventions.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Implementation of WH as a Learning Health System

  • Translate people development and leadership strategies into actionable learning solutions aligned with organisational priorities
  • Design targeted learning interventions for workforce planning and future-readiness
  • Drive innovation in learning methodologies and technologies through strategic consultancy
  • Build a learning culture where staff are self-driven, independent learners skilled in using technology
  • Evaluate learning intervention impact through measurement frameworks and data analysis

Learning Solutions & Programme Development

  • Act as internal learning consultant providing expert advice on strategy, capability development, and technology integration
  • Lead integration of digital platforms, AI-enabled tools, microlearning, and immersive technologies
  • Design and develop learning programmes using instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies
  • Facilitate high-impact programmes and workshops across WH and NHG
  • Deliver train-the-trainer programmes and mentor internal facilitators

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

  • Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Family Groups to integrate learning solutions into operational processes
  • Develop strategic partnerships with learning providers, academic institutions, and industry bodies
  • Negotiate agreements and manage vendor relationships for long-term learning objectives
  • Stay current with emerging trends in learning technology and methodologies

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 6-8 years progressive L&D experience with 1-3 years in strategic management roles
  • Healthcare or complex organisational environment experience preferred
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and systems thinking abilities
  • Business acumen with ability to translate organisational needs into learning solutions
  • Advanced project management skills for multiple complex initiatives
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence capabilities
  • Innovation mindset for implementing emerging learning trends and technologies
