You will drive the development of innovative and tech‑enabled learning solutions, foster a culture of self-directed learning, and strengthen organisational capability through strategic, data‑driven interventions. Your leadership ensures WH staff are empowered, competent, and consistently supported in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Strategic Implementation of WH as a Learning Health System

  • Translate people development and leadership strategies into practical, organisation-wide learning solutions.
  • Develop targeted interventions that support workforce planning, capability building, and future-readiness.
  • Provide strategic consultancy to advance innovation in learning methodologies and technology adoption.
  • Shape and strengthen a culture of self-directed, technology-enabled learning across WH.
  • Evaluate learning impact using structured measurement frameworks, analytics, and evidence-based approaches.

2. Learning Solutions & Programme Development

  • Serve as an internal learning consultant, offering expert guidance on learning strategy, capability development, and tech integration.
  • Lead the implementation of digital learning platforms, AI‑enabled tools, microlearning, and immersive learning technologies.
  • Design and develop impactful learning programmes grounded in instructional design principles and adult learning best practices.
  • Facilitate organisation-wide programmes, workshops, and capability‑building initiatives across WH and NHG.
  • Deliver train‑the‑trainer programmes and coach internal facilitators to strengthen internal teaching capacity.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

  • Partner closely with HR, Operations, and Family Groups to embed learning into operational practices and workflow design.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, learning providers, and industry bodies.
  • Manage vendors, negotiate agreements, and ensure alignment with long-term capability development goals.
  • Keep the organisation informed of emerging trends in learning technologies, methodologies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 6–8 years of progressive Learning & Development experience, including 1–3 years in strategic or leadership roles.
  • Experience working in healthcare or similarly complex environments is advantageous.
  • Deep expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and learning technologies.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and systems thinking capabilities.
  • Business acumen to translate organisational needs into high-impact learning solutions.
  • Advanced project management skills to lead multiple large-scale initiatives concurrently.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to introduce and implement emerging learning technologies and practices.
