JOB SUMMARY

The Executive / Senior Executive will support the Department’s leadership in corporate governance and compliance functions at the Hospital and Family Group levels, so as to conform with constitutional / statutory / regulatory requirements and shape alignment towards TTSH’s corporate vision and mission.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

SPECIFIC

The Corporate Governance team is responsible for supporting the delivery of the corporate strategy by providing high quality and timely business management and/or company secretariat services to the organisation and its related subsidiaries and/or associated entities. As the custodian of the organisation’s rules and regulations, the Corporate Governance team has full stewardship of the complete range of governance activities, and lead on identifying and delivering opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation’s purpose.

 

  • To help the Department’s leadership facilitate strategic dialogues with relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to Senior Management Meetings (SMM), NHG Board Meetings etc. in alignment with industry best practices and rules and regulations to ensure good governance practice;
  • To provide the Corporate Governance Manager with thought partnership on innovation or development of business solutions in pursuit of management capabilities to facilitate governance programmes/frameworks/ reports and organisational compliance with constitutional, regulatory and cluster requirements;
  • To keep abreast with governance developments within and beyond the industry;
  • To facilitate Hospital-level efforts that help advance and communicate TTSH’s corporate strategy, via secretariat and meeting co-ordination in support of strategic platforms such as Senior Management Meetings, Townhalls, Leadership Retreats, NHG Board Meetings, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Council and its associated workstreams, etc;  
  • To work with the Corporate Governance Manager to follow-up on elected plans and strategies as decided by TTSH Senior Management and department leaders including but not limited to the corporate governance model/structure, the development of governance principles and systems e.g. activation plans in pursuit of the organisation’s strategy, etc.;
  • To manage and co-ordinate resources to maintain a repository of timely and accurate databank for effective knowledge transfer across TTSH departments;
  • To work with the Corporate Governance Manager in the planning and support of strategic collaborations for the purpose of achieving desired goals and objectives of the organisation anchored on targeted solutions for better outcomes from a corporate governance perspective;
  • To lead in the planning and hosting of visits by strategic partners and external stakeholders e.g. designing purposeful pedagogies for key personnel on attachment / exchange programmes, arranging and executing full suite of programme and logistics for strategic corporate visits;
  • To budget and maintain oversight of departmental expenditure annually; and
  • To partake in real-time incident response and service management as augmented manpower during civil emergency incidents and/or preparedness exercises.

  • To be a change agent and to inculcate mindset change for hospital-wide/ departmental level initiatives and to establish a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork;
  • To undertake any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Good degree in a Business discipline with at least 2 years of practical experience.
  • Highly organised and adaptive to rapidly changing situations;
  • Open-minded critical thinker with good inter-personal skills;
  • Good command of English (spoken and written) and effective communication skills;
  • Prior administrative experience in healthcare settings is advantageous; and
  • Prior involvement in planning, audit and/or consultancy services preferred.
