Senior / Executive, Clinical Operations (Surgical)

  1. JOB PURPOSE
  1. To provide administrative, logistics and office support for the Clinical Operations Department.

 

Specific

  1. Analyse and identify the population’s detailed health care needs within the designated catchment area of Woodlands Health (WH), to support the development of clinical services plan and population health strategy.
  2. Identify, develop, and implement clinical services to meet these needs as directed by Chief/ Head (Clinical Department):
    • Work with clinical leads to define and review clinical service requirements and workload.
    • Support the development and implementation of innovative care delivery models to meet the projected care needs and integrated care.
    • Review facilities, equipment, and instrument requirements to ensure the necessary standardization and compliance with clinical needs, and defined norms.
    • Support the planning and procurement of equipment and instrument, in line with the clinical service requirements.
    • Coordinate the inputs from clinical and user leads to drive IT service planning for the WH.
  3. Support the development and implementation of community-based care including developing off campus clinical services as well as collaboration and capability enhancement/sharing with community partners including private and voluntary-welfare organisations operating in or near the WHC catchment.
  4. Support necessary approval papers and tender/ legal documents.
  5. Where instructed or necessary, collaborate with MOH and other governmental bodies to facilitate the WHC planning.
  6. Support the annual division work plan, budgeting exercise and required submissions of Clinical Department.
  7. Work with clinicians to develop, maintain and update Department policies and work instructions, be well-versed as the resource person for new staff members regarding department processes.
  8. Work with Chief/ Head (Clinical Department) to organise departmental events including annual retreats, appreciation events and end-of-posting meals. This includes procurement of tokens of appreciation for outstanding junior staff or care partners.
  9. Function as the liaison for all department’s operations spanning across facilities such OT, SOC, Inpatient, step-down care, and support services.

 

General

  1. Perform any other duties as assigned by Chief/ Head (Clinical Department) and Director (Clinical Operations) to support in other WH-related projects and tasks.
  2. Perform EA/Snr EA duties in support of Clinical Department (when required).
  3. Assist in Division of Surgery meetings and initiatives as assigned by Director (Clinical Operations)

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Education / Training / Experience

  1. University Degree
  2. At least 1-2 years of related experience in a similar capacity, preferably in an operations or service background for Executive
  3. At least 4 years of related experience in a similar capacity, preferably in an operations or service background for Senior Executive
  4. Healthcare experience is a bonus
