Senior / Engineer (Logistic & Automation), Facilities Management

Broad Function

The Engineer shall report to the Manager in the execution and management of Logistic & Automation engineering systems such as Pneumatic Tube System (PTS), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Pneumatic Waste & Linen Chute System (PWLCS), Food Waste Treatment Vacuum System (FWTVS) and non-clinical equipment such Centralised Sterilised Supplies Department Equipment, Food Services Department Equipment.  The Engineer shall provide support to audit and monitor the prescribed KPIs of the maintenance services rendered by the specialist vendors and outsourced maintenance service provider.  

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  1. To oversee and manage preventive, corrective maintenance & coordination work for logistic and automation engineering system.
  2. To oversee and manage the performance of outsourced maintenance service provider and specialist vendors to ensure good maintenance standards are met.
  3. Ensure prompt service recovery for any breakdown of equipment and systems to minimize disruption to hospital service operations.
  4. To provide advisory and support to the maintenance team in addressing and rectifying specialized system failures and troubleshooting.  Recommend technology refresh, upgrade and end-of-life renewal.
  5. To prepare technical specifications and drawings for system improvements and cost estimates.
  6. Perform any other duties assigned by HOD.

 

Job Requirement

Education / Training / Experience

  1. Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering Degree Holder with 0-4 years of related working experience in similar portfolio for Engineer position.
  2. Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering Degree Holder with at least with 5-6 years of related working experience in similar portfolio or (Diploma with at least 10 years) in similar portfolio for Senior Engineer position.
  3. Prior working experience in healthcare setting will be an advantage.
  4. Prior experience in management of electrical / mechanical / mechatronics / automation systems and facilities operation as well as improvement projects will be an advantage.
