Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst

JOB PURPOSE

Support Group Health Informatics (GHI) in the implementation, adoption and maintenance of clinical information systems, governance and processes that facilitate the optimal delivery of patient care and the conduct of research.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Master Data Management

• Perform impact assessment and ensure timely creation, update, validation, testing and documentation of content changes related to medication-related terminology, data standards, clinical and operational content for prescribing, dispensing, administration and clinical decision support according to established processes and editorial guides.
• Conduct requirements gathering, analysis, functional testing, and support system enhancements, upgrades and/or implementation.
• Track change request status, deliverables and timeline.

Process Engineering 

• Identify and implement process improvements primarily within Informatics Service group and/or respective areas.

• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training/Experience 

• BSc (Pharmacy) or equivalent.
• Prior Epic Willow certification and clinical/informatics working experience preferred but not mandatory. Training for Epic certification will be provided, where needed, and certification is expected within 3 months of hire.
