Resident Physician

The position of a Resident Physician entails provision of comprehensive patient care in your chosen discipline of practice, under the supervision of Specialist doctors.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate active clinical competency within your selected medical discipline, maintaining continuous clinical practice standards based on your experience from the past three years
  • Deliver high-quality patient care whilst adapting effectively to rapidly changing clinical situations in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Apply sound clinical judgement and comprehensive patient management skills, drawing upon your minimum three years' experience as a Medical Officer in relevant clinical settings
  • Utilise advanced clinical expertise from postgraduate qualifications such as Master's degrees, diplomas, or specialty training to manage complex patient scenarios
  • Maintain excellent communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating strong command of both spoken and written English
  • Ensure all clinical practice aligns with Singapore Medical Council standards whilst maintaining current registration or meeting registration criteria
  • Demonstrate clinical excellence whilst working effectively in dynamic healthcare environments, showing strong adaptability to evolving clinical protocols and emergency situations

Mandatory Requirements

  • Possess minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Officer in relevant clinical settings, demonstrating proven clinical competency and patient management skills
  • Be eligible to register with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and meeting all criteria for medical qualifications (both local and foreign trained candidates must satisfy SMC registration requirements)
  • Maintain a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate demonstrating competency in emergency resuscitation procedures
