Resident Physician I
The role of Resident Physician is to be responsible for the holistic management of patients in the ward and may include seeing patients in the ambulatory setting. Resident Physicians will work alongside House Officers/PGY1, Medical Officers, Hospital Clinicians, Clinical Associates and Residents.
Your role also includes:
• Providing acute cardiac and critical care in the invasive care laboratory and cardiac care unit
• Providing clinical on-call coverage in the cardiac care unit (CCU)
• Assisting the cardiology team in reviewing of acute cardiac patients in the Emergency Department
• Performing point-of-care diagnostic studies and specialised procedures in the cardiac care unit (e.g. point-of-care ultrasound, minimally invasive central and arterial lines
Education / Training / Experience
- Possess a basic medical degree and/or postgraduate medical degree registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
- Staff Registrar Scheme Diploma awarded by the Academy of Medicine or a Postgraduate qualification registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
- Completed 1 year housemanship
- Resident Physician I: At least 3 years of Medical Officer or post housemanship equivalent experience
- Experience in Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, preferably in Cardiology (preferred)
Professional License
- Possess either Full/Conditional Registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
- Possess a valid practicing certificate with the Singapore Medical Council
- Possess a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Possess a valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
