Job Summary:

The Research Assistant will assist the PI(s) in conducting, coordinating and implementing all aspects of clinical research under the Ng Teng Fong (NTF) Healthcare Innovation Programme (HIP) – Innovation track projects. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the investigators in clinical research activities which includes study start-up, screening and recruiting study subjects, following-up with study subjects and study closure activities.
  2. Ensure that study and study procedures are conducted in accordance to the protocol approved by the institution review board.
  3. Ensure project documents are well-maintained and up to date, adhering to protocols, HBRA and GCP guidelines.
  4. Ensure the safety of clinical research subjects and report any Adverse Events, Serious Adverse Events and Regulatory Contraventions to the investigators, sponsors and regulatory authorities as appropriate.
  5. Conduct study related imaging procedures, inclusive of Digital photography and 3D imaging scans using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) of lesions on the foot. Training will be provided.
  6. Liaise with external vendors during the course of the study.
  7. Ensure proper storage of data extracted from the Electronic Medical Records for the purpose of the study.
  8. Monitor and manage the financial aspects of the assigned study and provide regular updates to the investigator and study team.
  9. Ensure timely submission of progress report to the relevant agencies and authorities and renewal of ethics application when necessary.
  10. Prepare progress reports and updates and ensure timely submissions in line with grant requirements.
  11. Coordinate and assist with other research related activities.

Job Requirements:

  1. Fresh Diploma/Degree graduates in Sciences or Nursing are welcome to apply.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  3. Have strong organizational and effective communication skills.
  4. Have an interest in research. Relevant experience is advantageous but not compulsory.
