Research Asst

Job Summary

You will support the principal investigators of clinical trail studies by facilitating study matters to ensure proper conduct and implementation of all research activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Process patient sample and run virological and immunological assays in support of clinical trials
• Prepare associated records and documentation
• Ensure that all study practices and procedures (e.g., screening, recruitment, follow-up, specimen taking, data entry) are conducted in accordance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice, other applicable regulatory / ethical requirements, standard operating procedures, and hospital policies
• Ensure timely submission of required documents to the Institutional Review Board
• Ensure accurate and complete source documentation, subject logs, subject transport reimbursement logs, and all other pertinent research documents and ensure that they are audit compliant
• Liaise with relevant internal and external agencies to ensure successful implementation of clinical studies
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors, principal investigator and HOD, including work areas not mentioned here

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Science or related discipline, preferably with major in Microbiology or Immunology
• Experience with cell and virus culture, immuno-staining, and neutralization assays in a BSL2 laboratory setting is desirable
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Required to work outside office hours and on weekends (when rostered)
