Research Asst - Early Psychosis Intervention Programme

Job Description:

To support and co-ordinate research projects and clinical trials being conducted in the Early Psychosis Intervention Programme (EPIP) and Department of Psychosis.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Role-specific (80%)

  1. Support and coordinate research projects/clinical trials
  2. Recruit and follow up with participants, including conducting informed consent
  3. Co-ordinate and liaise between study sites for research projects, including recording of minutes
  4. Assist and follow-up with submissions for ethics approval for research proposals
  5. Assist with budget, claims, and agreement preparation for research projects
  6. Set up and maintain research database(s) relevant to research projects
  7. Data collection (including biological samples) and transcription from case-records/patient interviews
  8. Offer basic statistical support and conduct basic statistical analyses
  9. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts for submission to journals

 

General (20%)

  1. Computerised and manual literature searches for relevant projects
  2. Assist with any research or claims audits
  3. Plan and make posters/flyers for research submissions
  4. Support and cultivate research culture in the department
  5. Any other tasks assigned

 

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Basic knowledge of SPSS is preferred
  2. Experience in managing multi-site research projects and clinical trials preferred

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. Degree holder in Psychology/ Life Sciences/ Nursing
