Research Assistant (18-month contract)

Job Description:

We are looking for a Research Assistant on a 18-month contract to support and co-ordinate research projects and clinical trials being conducted in IMH.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Role-specific (80%)

  1. Supporting and coordination of research projects/clinical trials
  2. Maintenance of database and basic statistical support
  3. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts for submission to journals
  4. Direct liaison and communication with patient research subjects
  5. Prepare and conduct surveys with patients
  6. Data collection from case-records/patient interviews
  7. Assist with on-site visits by patients
  8. Assist in budget planning, payments and agreement preparation for research projects/clinical trials
  9. Monitor and coordinate all research project deliverables with research principle investigator
  10. Preparation of research findings and reports

 

General (20%)

  1. Computerized and manual literature searches for relevant projects/trials
  2. Co-ordinating meetings for research project and clinical trials, including recording of minutes
  3. Planning and making posters/flyers for research submissions
  4. All administration concerning research project
  5. Any other tasks assigned to ensure smooth completion of research project/clinical trial

 

 

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Able to work independently
  3. Able to use basic Microsoft Office tools

 

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. At least a diploma in a relevant field of study
  2. Candidates with prior research experience will be preferred
