Radiography Asst
JOB PURPOSE
Woodlands Health (WH) envisions personalized and quality healthcare for the community of the future. It will co-develop and integrate services with community stakeholders and extend care beyond the hospitals into the community as well as homes.
To assist radiographers in the daily imaging workflows, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. This includes pre-procedure preparation, patient care during procedures, post-procedure follow-up, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the imaging areas.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific
Patient Care/Relations
- Assist in the coordination and movement of ambulant and non-ambulant patients requiring radiological services within WH.
- Provide basic pre and post-examination care to patients, such as changing attire, oral contrast preparation, and post-procedural instructions.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with patients and staff.
- Handle general enquiries from patients pertaining to radiology examinations and defer to radiographers when necessary.
Operational
- Prepare the imaging room, equipment, and consumables for procedures.
- Maintain inventory and supply of linen in storage areas and changing rooms, and consumables within examination rooms.
- Assist in the movement and transport of imaging equipment, phantoms, and documentation containing sensitive patient information.
- Assist radiographer in patient transferring, using proper posture and techniques.
- Operate IT Systems (EPIC/RIS/eQMS) for scheduling, registration, starting exams, queue numbers, activation of portering requests, and other relevant tasks.
- Assist with the handling and storage of request forms and films during downtime protocols.
- Perform routine cleaning of imaging equipment and assist with quality control and basic handling of equipment.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and tidiness of the work environment, examination room, waiting areas, and imaging accessories used during examinations.
- Perform shift and night duties in relevant settings as required to maintain a 24-hour service.
General
- Perform other general duties as directed by the Supervisor or Lead Radiographer on duty
- To ensure continuous work improvements in DoR.
To undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training / Experience
- Diploma OR GCE “N/O/A/NITEC/ITE” Levels OR BTEC III OR equivalent
- Keen interest in the healthcare/ medical industry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to perform rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Attributes
- Skilled in relevant Radiology IT systems such as RIS/PACS, SAP, EPIC will be an advantage.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel.
