Patient Service Associate
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
- To receive patients and visitors who present themselves at the counter.
- To attend to enquiries from both internal and external customers.
- To perform registration, admissions, discharge and provide financial counseling to all patients and Next-Of-Kin.
- To discharge all SSSU patients from previous day from SAP. (MOT)
- To check and confirm all endoscopy procedures listed are updated with the use of ENDOSys (Endo Centre)
- To take bookings for UBT, Colonoscopy and OGD appointment in OTS and coordinate listings for the various procedures. (Endo Centre)
- To check financial documents and ensure Medisave, Private Medical Insurance and Letter of Guarantee are updated in the system and business folders,
- To ensure all business folders and patients' case notes are available for next day procedure
- To segregate case notes according to the date of procedure,
- To ensure that services rendered and charges are billed and entered promptly
- To collect payment for services rendered and accountable for payment collected.
- To schedule appointments for discharged patients who require follow-up at the clinics.
- To assist in the receiving, filing and dispatching of case notes
- To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the Perl-operative counters.
- To assist in collecting data for statistics purposes.
(B) GENERAL
- To participate in Process Improvement Projects and streamline processes.
- To work in co-operation with other service providers and departments in the discharge of their duties
- To adhere to the hospital's and department's standards in the discharge of their duties.
- To participate in corporate events whenever necessary
- To undertake other duties when assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum GCE 'N' Level, ITE NITEC, ITE Higher NITEC or Diploma
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computer
- Relevant working experience will be advantageous
