Position: Neuropsychologist

Job Description:

You will provide neuropsychological services for both inpatients and/or outpatients within the psychiatric services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals. You will assess and evaluate cognitive functioning in patients with various neurological and psychiatric conditions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct neuropsychological assessments and interpret test results for treatment planning
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care for patients with brain injuries, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric disorders affecting cognitive function
  3. Provide individual and group psychotherapy
  4. Contribute to mental health promotion programmes and psychological duties within the institute's framework
  5. Provide training and consultations in neuropsychology
  6. Participate in or conduct research in neuropsychology and related fields

 

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
  2. Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, brain-behaviour relationships, and psychometric principles
  3. Excellent analytical and interpretive skills

 

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. Master's degree in Neuropsychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from an established university
  2. Preferably at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in neuropsychological assessment and evaluation
  3. Accreditation, registration or licence for practice with an established or recognised psychological professional body will be an advantage
