Position: National Mental Health Helpline Counsellor

 

Job Description:

 

To work within a mental health call centre environment, the candidate will attend to calls/ webchats and triage, assess and provide information and advice to callers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

·       Handle enquiries via phone and webchat

·       Offer mental health information and resources based on callers’ needs

·       Triage and identify callers at risk and/ or refer callers to relevant resources

·       Provide brief intervention as required

·       Handle distress calls

 

Requirements:

 

·       Degree in Psychology/ Social Work/ Occupational Therapy/ Counselling or Advanced Diploma in Mental Health Nursing

·       Preferably with 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience

·       Entry Level Candidates with positive learning attitude may also apply

·       Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·       Team player with a passion for patient-care and community support

·       Able to work on 24/7 rotating shifts (including weekends and PH)

·       Work Location: Tampines
