National Mental Health Helpline Counsellor

Responsibilities

To work within a mental health call centre environment, the candidate will attend to calls/ webchats and triage, assess and provide information and advice to callers.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Handle enquiries via phone and webchat
  • Offer mental health information and resources based on callers’ needs
  • Triage and identify callers at risk and/ or refer callers to relevant resources
  • Provide brief intervention as required
  • Handle distress calls

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology/ Social Work/ Occupational Therapy/ Counselling or Advanced Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
  • Preferably with 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Entry Level Candidates with positive learning attitude may also apply
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with a passion for patient-care and community support
  • Able to work on 24/7 rotating shifts (including weekends and PH)
  • Work Location: Tampines
