National Mental Health Helpline Counsellor
Responsibilities
To work within a mental health call centre environment, the candidate will attend to calls/ webchats and triage, assess and provide information and advice to callers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Handle enquiries via phone and webchat
- Offer mental health information and resources based on callers’ needs
- Triage and identify callers at risk and/ or refer callers to relevant resources
- Provide brief intervention as required
- Handle distress calls
Requirements
- Degree in Psychology/ Social Work/ Occupational Therapy/ Counselling or Advanced Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
- Preferably with 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience
- Entry Level Candidates with positive learning attitude may also apply
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with a passion for patient-care and community support
- Able to work on 24/7 rotating shifts (including weekends and PH)
- Work Location: Tampines
