MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(A)           SPECIFIC 95%

    1. Perform routine cardiovascular tests, Blood Pressure/Holter and assist in phlebotomist’s procedures.
    2. Assist in routine cardiovascular tests; Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography, treadmill ECG/Imaging stress testing and invasive cardiovascular procedure.
    3. Prepare reports of procedures performed; maintain adequate records and files reflecting patient information and operational data such as expenditures, revenue etc.
    4. Maintain equipment to ensure accurate testing and diagnosis. Troubleshoot errors when variances occur.
    5. Maintain the emergency trolley (crash cart) in the centre.
    6. Assist and participate in audit process in the centre and ensure that the cardiac test equipment or devices meet all regulatory requirements including safety requirements.
    7. Performs special projects as requested.
    8. Assist medical technologist to maintain adequate inventory of unit’s supplies and materials.
    9. Uphold patient rights and safety.
    10. Embrace continuous improvements as our way of life by improving and refining work performance on a daily basis.

 

(B)           GENERAL (5%)

    1. Promote safety in the centre and help creating a learning environment.
    2. Keep the centre neat and tidy at all times and comply to the infection control standard and guideline.
    3. Be actively involved in the Hospital’s Quality Improvement program as well as the community.

Medical Technogist

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

(A)       SPECIFIC (95%)

 

  1. To Perform routine and complex cardiovascular tests such as:
    1. Transthoracic Echocardiography
    2. Treadmill ECG/Imaging stress testing
    3. Cardiac Ambulatory Test and invasive cardiovascular modality
    4. Hemodynamic monitoring during interventional cardiology procedures
    5. Assist in cardiac devices, implants and programming.

 

  1. Prepare reports of procedures performed; maintain adequate records and files reflecting patient information and operational data such as revenue, audits and KPI etc.
  2. Maintain equipment to ensure accurate testing and diagnosis. Troubleshoot errors when variances occur. Maintain a record of all repairs and routine maintenance of the medical equipment in the centre.
  3. Maintain the emergency trolley (crash cart) in the centre. 
  4. Assist and participate in the audit process in the centre and ensure that the cardiac test equipment or devices meet all regulatory requirements, including safety requirements.
  5. Performs special projects as requested. 
  6. Assist medical technologist to maintain adequate inventory of the unit’s supplies and materials.
