About the Role:
As Manager, Clinical & Service Operations, you will be a key partner to the Director/Deputy Director, Community Care Operations, in leading and overseeing the operational activities and services within our division. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to drive impactful change, collaborate with clinical leaders, and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Community Health services. You will be instrumental in implementing patient-/resident-centric initiatives, contributing to strategic planning, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership and Planning:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the division's/department's strategic objectives and goals, ensuring alignment with the broader strategies and priorities of NHG.
- Collaborate closely with various clinical leaders to develop and review Community Health strategies and work plans, with a focus on delivering enhanced value to our population and staff.
- Support the Director, Community Care Operations, and Clinical Director/Leads in leading and driving the development of Community Health services, including the establishment of new services/programs, workflows, and performance standards.
- Operational and Business Management:
- Support the Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Community Health services/programs and providing administrative support to various Clinical Departments within the Division.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders/partners to lead, plan, and implement key initiatives that enhance value for our population and staff.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operations of various service lines/programs, proactively partnering with internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve system and process issues.
- Optimise the allocation and utilisation of key resources to maximise operational and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish robust performance measurement systems for trending, analysis, and benchmarking of key performance indicators.
- Manage service quality by setting and maintaining high service standards and effectively meeting the needs and expectations of residents through the promotion of continuous process improvement and review of services/programs.
- Support the Clinical Director, Community Health, and clinical department heads in the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental quality guidelines.
- Lead the team in providing comprehensive administrative support to the respective clinical heads of departments across different family groups.
- Proactively respond to changes in the needs and trends in KPIs to maintain smooth operations and ensure continuity of care for our population.
- Assist the Director in ensuring that the department operates with sound and sustainable financial models for all initiatives, services, and efforts.
- Support the Director in financial budget reviews and in identifying key levers to implement initiatives and strategies aimed at improving business and financial performance.
- General Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key point of contact and interface with internal and external groups and/or stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of appropriate, accountable, and cost-conscious care to our population.
- Act as a change agent, fostering a mindset shift and driving the adoption of campus-wide/division-level initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain a working environment that promotes collegiality, effective teamwork, and collaboration.
- Provide effective supervision, guidance, and mentorship to staff, ensuring strong leadership, knowledge transfer, and succession planning within the assigned track.

Job Requirements:
- Education/Training/Experience:
- A general degree, preferably in health and social sciences or business.
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant working experience is preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience in healthcare management, particularly in healthcare operations, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the concepts of budgeting, operations, and administration within the acute/intermediate and long-term healthcare sector is advantageous.

Working Conditions:
- Staff may be required to work beyond normal office hours, including weekends and public holidays, as and when necessary.
