STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Innovation & Improvement (I&I) Office plays a strategic role in positioning Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Yishun Health (KTPH & YH) for future success. I&I is dedicated to driving organisational changes that enhance the hospital’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives efficiently and effectively. I&I focuses on achieving superior outcomes in process, service and quality improvement through:
- Facilitating Improvement Initiatives: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to initiate and drive improvement projects, supported by meaningful data and analytics.
- Building Capabilities: Enhancing improvement skills and capabilities across the hospital.
- Fostering Innovation: Cultivating an innovation culture within the hospital.
The Assistant Manager / Manager / Senior Manager role focuses on the detailed planning and facilitating the implementation of improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing organisational performance and efficiency. The individual collaborates across departments to identify areas for improvement, develop strategic plans, and execute solutions that drive operational excellence.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
- Analyse Processes: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
- Continuous Improvement: Execute, coordinate and set up improvement framework and processes to provide the analysis to facilitate multi-faceted decision making for strategic, operational and clinical information needs with hospital key stakeholders.
- Strategic Projects: Participate as a facilitator in key improvement projects to address the problem statement/operational challenges and deliver measurable improvements.
- KPI Monitoring: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
- Change Management and Culture Building: Foster good working relationships with internal colleagues and assist the operational and clinical champions in their improvement projects. Act as the catalyst to influence stakeholders’ ownership and motivation towards continuous improvement.
(B) GENERAL
- Support NHG Initiatives: Assist in new or revised NHG initiatives, programs, and events at the cluster level.
- Corporate Event Support: Assist in the planning and support of corporate events as necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimally hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 3 - 5 years of experience in service industry/health-care related areas preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Facilitation skills preferred.
- Experienced in the application of quality improvement tools preferred.
- Comfortable with uncertainty in work assignments.
- Excellent written and analytical skills.
