Manager /Sr Manager / Asst Director, Operations (Surgery)
JOB SUMMARY
You will provide strategic oversight and leadership in project management, operations and clinical operations including planning and implementation of clinical services. You will drive workflow improvements to enhance patient experience, optimise efficiency, ensure financial sustainability and improve operational outcomes. You will lead the strategic development and redesign of clinical services by shaping the patient journey and partnering with Clinical Heads and key stakeholders to plan, develop and implement care models that enable the effective delivery of clinical services across the campus.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support the implementation of hospital initiatives in alignment with national and cluster-level strategies and directives.
- Manage and support departmental projects, tracking progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery of objectives.
- Perform in-depth data quality reviews to detect, validate and flag anomalies for follow-up.
- Monitor key performance indicators as well as support analysis and reporting to inform decision-making processes.
- Manage procurement projects end-to-end, including coordinating across multiple stakeholders to gather required information, and develop justifications to secure funding approval.
- Collaborate across clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver patient-centric initiatives, operational strategies and sustainable care models.
- Develop and maintain management reports and documentation that provide insights into operational performance, project progress, and resource utilization to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive process improvements and maintain service quality standards to drive excellence in patient care.
- Oversee general administration and/or HR matters within the team and oversee staff under your supervision, to ensure smooth operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Good Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare administration.
- Candidates with prior experience in hospital clinical operations or healthcare administration will have an added advantage, although this is not a pre-requisite.
- Organised, meticulous individual with excellent command of written and spoken English, strong interpersonal skills and good project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels.
- Takes initiative, manage competing priorities under pressure and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic about learning on the job and willing to go the extra mile to see things through.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Strong numerical proficiency and comfortable translating data into insights.
