Job Description:

You will support the Clinical Governance & Quality (CGQ) Department in leading the administrative functions for various clinical quality and quality assurance programmes. In carrying out the various duties, you will be required to work closely with the senior management, clinical chiefs and doctors, patient care staff and other CGQ staff members.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and support hospital-wide initiatives aimed at strengthening patient safety culture, fostering an environment of open communication, continuous learning, and proactive risk identification across all clinical areas.
  2. Assist in the systematic coordination of clinical risk management activities, including the collection, analysis, and presentation of data relating to the hospital's top clinical risks to support evidence-based decision making and risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Lead or assist in clinical quality activities and areas of work, such as Quality & Value Festival, Joint Commission International (JCI), etc.
  4. Provide secretariat support for key quality and safety governance structures, including:
    1. Managing the AHRQ Patient Safety Survey process from implementation through to analysis of results and presentation of findings to senior leadership
    2. Coordinating the Choking Workgroup activities and initiatives
    3. Supporting the Quality & Value Council in their strategic oversight and decision-making processes  (coverage)
    4. Facilitating the Clinical Practice & Improvement Projects (CPIP) Committee operations and project coordination (coverage)
    5. Coordinating quality improvement training programmes and educational initiatives for clinical and non-clinical staff (coverage)

 

 

 

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Strong critical/analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and resilience to perform well under pressure
  2. Able to write clearly and succinctly using English
  3. Good interpersonal skills, a team player, and detail oriented

 

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a healthcare related discipline
  2. At least 8 - 10 years working experience in healthcare quality, preferably clinical quality
