Manager, Emergency Preparedness – Disease Outbreak (1-year contract)
As the Manager, Emergency Preparedness – Disease Outbreak (EP-DO) in the NCID Executive Director’s Office, you will support the Deputy Director, EP-DO in projects, programmes and operations aimed at ensuring disease outbreak preparedness and response at both the hospital/campus and national levels.
You will play an active role in the:
- Development and maintenance of disease outbreak plans and standard operating procedures
- Planning and implementation of readiness activities such as training and exercises
- Development and enhancement of disease outbreak capabilities in NCID
- Collaboration with local and international stakeholders on projects and programmes to enhance preparedness and capability-building
- Ensuring timely escalation of incidents and crises through the role of duty officer
- As part of the NCID operations command centre (NOCC), respond to outbreak incidents and exigencies
- Collation, analysis and monitoring of data and trends to inform operational needs
- Coordination of quality and safety incidents, improvement programmes and monitoring of key indicators
- Providing secretariat support to relevant committees and workgroups
- Supporting the Deputy Director for any other duties assigned
Requirements
- Degree in any discipline, preferably in Science or Public Health
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in a supervisory role, preferably in healthcare or public service
- Experience in project management, operations planning, quality management and/or training is a plus
- Able to be rostered for on-call duties and deployed for shift duties during exigencies
- Leadership, interpersonal and staff engagement skills with the ability to influence and communicate with all levels of staff
