Manager, Patient Billing Services (Financial Counselling)
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific
i. Oversee and support a team of Financial Advisors to:
- Perform financial counselling (FC) for in-flight patients to help them make informed decisions
- Facilitate referral to MSW for patients with financial difficulties
- Perform deposit monitoring duties diligently
ii. Manage team's coverage to ensure daily operations are not affected
iii. Provide monthly reports to management for FC related statistics
iv. Update training materials and conduct FC refresher courses
v. Ensure internal policies, work instructions and forms are in line with latest MOH guidelines and policies
vi. Participate in FC system UAT and projects when necessary
vii. Spearhead FC Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives to streamline FC processes
General
- Participate actively in Process Improvement/IT Projects/any initiatives organised by the Organisation
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in supervisory or management capacity
- Preferably with experience in implementing RPA projects using automation tools such as UiPath
- Familiarity with driving workflow changes and AI projects with operations users
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks to meet timelines
- Self-motivated with strong interest in learning and analytical mind
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge in SAP preferred
- Ability to work independently and proactively resolve problems within established parameters in a challenging environment
