The Challenges

You will assist the Assistant Director/Director to lead, develop and implement strategic plans to meet the hospital’s objectives in the management of Total Workplace Safety and Health (TWSH), with a strong focus on Occupational Health matters. 

 

The functional roles for this position is to assist the Director of Operations in the following:

• Develop and implement strategic plans and governance framework for TWSH in the Novena Campus

• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop, operationalise and synergise TWSH policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards

• Lead the secretariat team to support the hospital’s Workplace Safety and Health Council and relevant Committees to drive the strategic plans for TWSH 

• Oversee and drive TWSH-related programmes (e.g. staff health screening) from conceptualisation to execution. This includes planning, logistics sourcing and budget management, communication (e.g. publicity efforts), monitoring and surveillance and evaluation of programme

 

You should possess good leadership qualities and management competency to drive and coordinate a broad spectrum of the assigned unit’s work to be in line with TTSH strategic directions.  You should be an independent and self-driven individual with a passion for healthcare, and is able to work well with ambiguity to come up with new strategies and policies to address evolving needs.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in WSH; Masters’ Degree preferred

• Registered MOM WSH Officer preferred

• At least 4-5 years in WSH related work with 3-4 years leading teams and projects, preferably in healthcare industry

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Good people and stakeholder management skills, across organisation functions and hierarchy

• Process oriented and a flair for numbers are essential pre-requisites

• Meticulous and analytical, and possess good organisational and coordination skills

• Ability to exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
