Manager, Clinical Operations (Surgical)

1. JOB PURPOSE

  1. Support the Division of Surgery in the day to day running (Business As Usual ,BAU) of respective Clinical Departments and Facilities (Day Surgery and Major Operating Theatres, Endoscopy Centre, CSSD and Surgical Skills Lab) including expansion.
  2. Monitoring and trending of performance indicators

 

2. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES`

 

Specific

  1. Work with Senior clinical leadership and key stakeholders to drive improvement and efficient running of the following key areas:
  • Review and development of workflows, Standard operating procedures, Work Instructions and Business continuity plans (BCP) to support efficient running of services and good patient experience.
  • Procurement related activities for medical and non-medical equipment including management of funds, procurement, evaluation and award.
  • Inventory management for equipment, supplies and consumables including regular cost and usage review.
  • Coordination of setup work related to department, infrastructure and system readiness.
  • Monitor day to day indicators and work with stakeholders to ensure all KPIs are met plus investigate, and propose improvement to ensure KPIs met sustainably.

 

  1. Drive planning and development of Clinical department and the development of Day 1 clinical and operational services for the approved LMCs
  2. Support the department / division annual division work plan and budgeting exercise
  3. Provide leadership to the operations and facilities and services under the Division including Day Surgery and Major Operating Theatres, Endoscopy Centre, CSSD and Surgical Skills Lab, especially to front line teams (such as our Patient Service Associates , etc)
  4. Identify, lead and initiate improvement projects within the department or hospital-wide

 

General

  1. Where instructed or necessary, collaborate with MOH and other governmental bodies to ensure smooth running of departments and facilities.
  2. Where directed by supervisor or Director, Clinical Operations, to support in other WH-related projects and tasks.


 

3. JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Education / Training / Experience

 

 

  1. University Degree
  2. Masters in Public Health, Healthcare management or Business Administration is a bonus
  3. At least 8-10 years working experience in an operations or service background
  4. Healthcare experience is a bonus
