Job Description
You will support the functions of the Clinical Governance & Quality (CGQ) primarily in the area of clinical quality and quality assurance programmes, quality improvement and hospital policies. You will also be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the standards and quality of care. You will also handle the monthly in-house publication for Chairman Medical Board (CMB). In carrying out the various duties, you will be required to work very closely with the senior management, clinical chiefs and doctors, patient care staff and other CGQ staff members.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality assurance programmes and processes (Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Committee, Medical Records Audit Committee, Peer Review Learning, NHG Harm Collaboration, Enterprise Risk Management) are carried out smoothly and team’s performance are maintained.
- Handle and oversee the data collection, coordination, drafting, confirmation and communication of Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) priorities annually.
- Provide policy writing support (IMH Suicide Prevention Taskforce) and required inputs (MOH National Abbreviations, Symbols and Acronyms Workgroup) for various committees / workgroups.
- Oversee editorial, publication and all matters relating to monthly publication ‘CMB’s message’ and manage the ‘Feedback to CMB’ channel.
- Provide guidance and facilitation to Clinical Practice Improvement Project (CPIP) leaders during facilitation sessions.
- Provide quality improvement training and revise course materials if needed.
- Supervise, train and/or provide coverage to staff supporting quality assurance programmes.
- Handle and support Clinical Quality related activities
- Oversee and handle CGQ budgeting activities, including OPEX, CAPEX, accruals and department training.
- Support the department in work relating to hospital accreditation / audits.
- Undertake any special projects or initiatives as assigned by the supervisor and/or Head of Department.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong critical/analytical thinking and problem solving skills, and resilience to perform well under pressure.
• Able to write clearly and succinctly using English.
• Able to use Excel to create databases, pivot tables and charts.
• Meticulous with a keen eye for details with strong ability to follow up on issues/implementation plans.
• Good interpersonal skills, a team player, and able to communicate with people at all levels including the senior management.
• 5-10 years of working experience with supervisory experience; candidate with previous working experience in healthcare is preferred.
