What You Will Drive

1. Lead & Elevate Digital Operations

  • Manage, optimise, and continuously improve the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and related software tools.
  • Drive seamless integration across interfaces, ensuring accurate, real-time data flow.
  • Provide hands-on support during system incidents and downtimes to minimise disruption and uphold clinical service standards.
  • Maintain and enhance the lab’s intranet, dashboards, and in-house digital applications.

2. Strengthen Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Champion digital governance by ensuring all IT-related incidents are reported, investigated, and closed with strong corrective and preventive actions.
  • Uphold regulatory and accreditation standards while supporting the Head of Clinical Laboratory with discipline and compliance matters as needed.
  • Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and performance optimisation efforts across laboratory services.

3. Empower People & Build Capability

  • Train, mentor, and assess competency for Medical Laboratory Technologists and Medical Officers (where applicable).
  • Support documentation excellence by contributing to the development and review of policies, SOPs, bench guides, and forms.
  • Partner with laboratory teams to streamline workflows and uphold KPIs.

4. Act with Purpose & Professionalism

  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Head of Clinical Laboratory in support of service needs and organisational goals.

 

What You Bring

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Comptuer Science, IT or equivalent or Diploma with relevant experience & proven competency.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is an advantage.
  • Experience in accredited healthcare environments (e.g., CAP, ISO15189) is preferred.
  • Skilled in SQL scripting and Oracle‑based data extraction.
  • ASCPi certification is advantageous.
