Job Description:

The Hospital Biomedical Engineer (BME) is responsible for ensuring medical equipment functions safely and effectively through installing, maintaining, calibration and repair of devices. The role also involves managing service contracts and conducting safety audits to support optimal patient care and hospital operations. 

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

1.      Provide technical support to hospital personnel in the commissioning, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of medical equipment

2.      Supervise the specialist vendors and appointed contractors in medical equipment maintenance works to ensure quality of works and compliance with required standards

3.      Collect and review user feedback regularly on the maintenance, performance, reliability and quality of medical equipment.

4.      Assist BME engineers in coordinating services for medical equipment projects with vendors, contractors and appointed project consultants

5.      Perform any other duties and tasks as assigned by BME engineers

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. Diploma/ Degree holder
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
