Roles and Responsibilities

  • Interviews and provides STI information to patients.                                                                       
  • Contact traces sex partner(s) of patients diagonsed with STIs.                                                                     
  • Follow-up on patients who have been diagnosed with STIs or have defaulted treatment.               
  • Contacts patients' sexual partners for screening and treatment.                                                                
  • Reviews electronic medical records (EMR) details, follow-up with doctor i/c and codes diagnosis.
  • Updates Monkeypox vaccination records in the National Registry Register.                                           
  • Reviews treatment details and updates outcomes                                                                            
  • Provides Medical Scheme information and STI education to brothel keepers and Medical Scheme registrants.                                                                               
  • Conducts routine checks on brothels to ensure they comply with the Medical Scheme guidelines.              
  • Participates in educational and research activities and projects (HIV ST Project).                                 
  • Answers the National STIs/HIV hotline.                  
  • Participates in quality improvement projects.                                                                    
  • Provides service excellence standards to internal and external customers.                                            
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Snr Health Advisor or Project Coordinator.                                                                   

 

Job Requirement                                                                            

  • Minimum Diploma in any discipline                                                                                         
  • Counselling background preferred
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
